Klinkenbergerplas

By planting 22 different species of trees and shrubs a diverse and rich forest was created at the Klinkenbergerplas.

New forest in the municipality of Oegstgeest

Together with the municipality of Oegstgeest we planted 2,5 hectares of forest at the Klinkenbergerplas. The first trees were planted in December 2017.

Why is this project necessary?

The new forests has led to more nature in the municipality, a healthier climate and several recreational possibilities for inhabitants. In total 22 different species of trees and shrubs have been planted, leading to a diverse forest. Because biodiversity and recreation do not always go hand in hand a division has been made between areas with the main function of either recreation or biodiversity. De location were Trees for All planted was designed in such a way to let biodiversity thrive.

Where did we plant?

De Klinkenbergerplas is a nature and recreation area located north of Oegstgeest. Because of the variety the area offers, next to nature itself, possibilities for almost everyone. From nature fanatics to birders, hikers, dog owners, sportsmen and children.
