Trees for All attaches great importance to the protection of the personal privacy of its partners, donors and interested parties. We take the greatest possible care in handling and protecting personal data.

The Trees for All Foundation (address: Voetiusstraat 2, 3512 JM Utrecht) develops and supports forestry projects that contribute to sustainable development. The protection and planting of forests by Trees for All improves the living conditions of the local population, cuts the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere and contributes to the awareness of our mutual interconnectedness.

If you support Trees for All, use the information offered by Trees for All or make use of Trees for All’s other services, then we may process data pertaining to you. Trees for All attaches great importance to the protection of the personal privacy of its partners, donors and interested parties. We take the greatest possible care in handling and protecting personal data. Trees for All complies with all stipulations contained in current privacy legislation.

This privacy statement outlines the various ways in which we obtain personal data and sets out which data we collect and for what purposes these personal data are used.

Donation module

Donations or contributions for planting trees or carbon offsets made via the website module on Treesforall.nl are implemented by the Trees for All Foundation. Personal data entered here are processed by Trees for All. We request your name, email address, telephone number and bank account number (IBAN) in order to be able to process your donations and to send you the accompanying proofs of donation. At the time of making a donation, your IP address will be registered. Trees for All does not use the data that have been entered and registered for other purposes.

Donation by SMS

During campaigns, Trees for All offers donors the possibility of making a donation via SMS on your telephone. The mobile phone number used to make the donation is registered. By donating via SMS you are giving Trees for All permission to process these personal data so that we can process your donations and send you the accompanying proofs of donation. Trees for All does not use the personal data that have been registered for other purposes.

Third party websites

On Trees for All’s website you will find links to other websites. Trees for All is not responsible and accepts no liability for the way in which third party websites treat your personal data. Please read the privacy statement of the website in question.

Newsletter

You can apply to receive our newsletter via the Trees for All website. The name and email address supplied by you will only be used by us to send you our newsletters. Each newsletter contains a link enabling you to unsubscribe from the newsletter or to amend your personal details.

Social media

Trees for All maintains a presence on various social media channels, such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and LinkedIn. Following us on social media may give us access to some of your profile details. Trees for All also follows social media channels and in this way can gain access to data on your social media.

Questions via online contact form or telephone

You can contact Trees for All with questions about its forestry projects or other queries via the online contact form on our website or by phone. If you contact us by telephone or by post, we will register your name and possibly additional information such as your email address or contact address. You give us permission to do this when you contact us.

If you make use of the online form, we will ask you to fill out the following details: name, email address, telephone number. By pressing ‘send’ you will be giving us permission to use your data to deal with your query. Your data will only be used to answer your questions.

Your rights

You have the right to request us to grant you access to your personal data and/or to amend, expand, remove or hide such information. Requests to see and/or correct the data we have about you on file can be made by phoning us on +31(0)30-2040744 or by mailing us on info@treesforall.nl. Should you be younger than 16 years old, such requests must be made by a parent or legal guardian. Our response will then be sent to the parent or legal guardian.

At all times objections can be made against the use of personal data for direct marketing purposes and/or the receipt or further receipt of marketing information or certain marketing information. You can do this by submitting a request thereto in writing to Trees for All at the following address:

We have taken suitable technical and organisational measures to protect your personal data against loss or any form of unauthorised use. All data links are secure, and Trees for All uses access controls.

Third party access

Trees for All may use the services of external providers to process your data, in line with this privacy statement. These third parties are acting as processors for Trees for All and we will ensure that they offer sufficient guarantees with regard to the technical and organisational safety measures. Third parties acting as processors for Trees for All have signed a processing agreement with Trees for All which stipulates, inter alia, that they will process personal data exclusively for Trees for All.

In all other cases, Trees for All will only supply information to third parties with your express prior permission, in cases where we are required to do so by law or regulations, or in cases where we are constrained to do so as the result of court proceedings and/or we consider it imperative in the protection of our own interests.
