The Hollandse Hout is a large forest area (895 ha) bordering de Oostvaardersplassen. It is part of some important ecological corridors in Flevoland. The forest was planted in the seventies and is relatively monotonous, with mainly fast-growing species like poplar, willows and common alder. The new forest will therefore increase the diversity in the area!
This project has been realized in collaboration with Staatsbosbeheer.
Together with Staatsbosbeheer, Trees for All has transformed 12 hectares of agricultural land into a mixed deciduous forest.
