Trees for All raises funds for sustainable tree planting projects in Europe, Asia, Africa and Latin America. Do you want to submit a project proposal? Let's see what we can do for each other!

More than planting trees

Trees for All raises funds for sustainable tree planting projects in Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin-America. The projects that we support vary from agroforestry and reforestation in the tropics to mangrove restoration and planting indigenous trees in the semi-arid areas, and can be realized thanks to the donations made to Trees for All by private and business donors. We select our projects based on a set of criteria, as outlined in this document, with a focus on stakeholder inclusion, sustainable forest development, climate mitigation, biodiversity, and social impact.

The way to achieve

All projects are subject to extensive evaluation prior to approval. If a project proposal is approved by our Board, we proceed to signing a cooperation agreement with the project proponent, that outlines the basic terms of our collaboration. We welcome long-term partnerships because we believe sustainable project outcomes are achieved through lasting relationships. In other words, we’re not just about planting trees. We want to develop  and protect future-proof forests together.

How to submit a project proposal

Important note: Due to the overwhelming number of requests for tree planting projects, we only consider detailed reforestation proposals of potential partners with an extensive tree planting record and with a minimum of 50.000 planted seedlings per year.

1. Check if you meet our criteria

To help you with your project application, we developed a list of criteria that our projects should meet. You can find our project criteria here.

We will use these criteria to assess whether a project has the right fit with our organisation’s vision and mission. Note that, even if your project meets all the criteria, Trees for All does not guarantee funding of your project. The decision to fund a project is at full discretion of Trees for All and depends on several factors, such as the availability of funds, diversity of our project portfolio, and viability of the project.

2. Fill in the application form

If you believe that your project meets our criteria, you can submit your project proposal by using our International Project Application Form. You can find the International Project Application Form here. The form will guide you in your project application and outline the information we need to assess your project. We evaluate projects based on the Theory of Change, which is included in the Application Form.

3. Send us the completed form

You can send the completed form to Good to know: we are not a donor-based organisation, we do not manage funds. For the pre-financing of our projects, we assess the financial feasibility based on donation forecasts, on a project by project basis.
