Sang and Goorkens

Between 2014 and 2016 Trees for All transformed a former agricultural field close to Mierlo (2,28 hectares) into a mixed deciduous forest.

Status: Completed project

New forest in Noord-Brabant

More forest is crucial in our fight to attain the climate goals in the Netherlands. Besides the necessary carbon sequestration, trees are also good for the biodiversity in the Netherlands and recreational activities. Because of these reasons we transformed an agricultural field into a mixed forest between 2014 and 2016. The former field is located in the nature area Sang en Goorkens, close to Mierlo and measures 2,28 hectares in total.
