Measuring a huge 1,000 hectares, Park 21 is the main green recreational centre of the polder and an attractive destination.
Trees for All has been collaborating with Staatsbosbeheer and the Nationale Boomfeestdag since 2015 on creating the new Park 21 in Haarlemmermeer and thus realising more woodland in the Netherlands.
Park 21 is creating a new destination, where the city meets the countryside. Measuring a huge 1,000 hectares, Park 21 is the main green recreational centre of the polder and an attractive destination. It is a metropolitan park, intended for intensive and multifaceted use.
In November 2015, the first contribution of 3,500 trees was donated and planted by the companies Wessanen Benelux, Gomes and Kiehl’s 1851. You can find more information about Park 21 here.
The project has been carried out by the National Forest Fund, an initiative of Trees for All, Staatsbosbeheer and the Nationale Boomfeestdag.
